Accounting software for Saudi Arabia

Saudi Arabia runs VAT at 15% and has gone further than its neighbours on e-invoicing: ZATCA’s Fatoora programme requires invoices to be generated, and for many taxpayers cleared, through integrated systems. That is the question to settle before choosing any software, and this page answers it directly.

What tBiz does and does not do in Saudi Arabia

VAT at 15%, configurable

Tax rates are set per company, so a Saudi entity runs at 15% with standard, zero-rated and exempt classification handled the same way as elsewhere.

SAR and multi-currency

Base currency SAR, purchases in USD or EUR, with exchange gain and loss posted to the ledger.

Inventory and manufacturing

Warehouses, batch and serial tracking, bills of material and job work — the operational side is fully available.

Payroll and HR

Salary runs, attendance, leave and document expiry reminders for an expatriate workforce.

No ZATCA integration

tBiz does not generate ZATCA-compliant e-invoices, does not produce the required cryptographic stamp, and is not integrated with Fatoora. This is a real gap and not a roadmap item we are dressing up.

No Arabic rendering

There is no Arabic in the product, which for Saudi invoicing requirements is a second and independent limitation.

Saudi Arabia questions

Is tBiz ZATCA compliant for e-invoicing?

No. tBiz does not implement ZATCA e-invoicing, does not produce the cryptographic stamp or QR the standard requires, and is not integrated with the Fatoora platform. If you are within the scope of the e-invoicing obligation — and most VAT-registered businesses in Saudi Arabia are — you need a compliant solution for invoicing, and tBiz is not one today.

Can I use tBiz in Saudi Arabia at all?

For bookkeeping, inventory, manufacturing, payroll and management reporting, yes, with VAT at 15% and SAR as the base currency. Several Gulf groups use it for operations across their entities. What it cannot be is your compliant invoicing system for KSA.

Does tBiz support Arabic?

No. There is no Arabic in the product and no right-to-left document rendering, which is a separate limitation from the e-invoicing one and matters for Saudi invoicing requirements.

Where is tBiz strongest in the GCC?

The UAE, where VAT, TRN handling, emirate-wise reporting and the full VAT 201 are built and shipped, and where English invoicing is workable for many businesses.
